Amazon's Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is looking for a leader to join our team as a Senior Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Innovation. The position plays an important role in shaping the future of Amazon's inbound supply chain designs and strategies, ensuring a synchronized view of inventory flow, transportation, storage and fulfillment network, and the capacity and capabilities designed to facilitate them all. This is a high impact role with an opportunity to influence one of the most high visibility and high impact areas.This Senior Supply Chain Manager will be part of a team that owns the Inbound business planning and review process, ensuring cohesive strategies across various stakeholders and influencing org-level roadmaps. In addition, this person will play a key role in the development of new and innovative supply chain concepts, by providing a structured mechanism through which these initiatives undergo their evaluation and expediting the pace of innovation. The ideal candidate is someone with proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, creating repeatable and scalable mechanisms, delivering results under tight timelines, and communicating well both verbally and in writing.Key job responsibilities- Lead Inbound strategic planning by setting clear timelines and expectations for the various inbound teams- Participate in leadership discussions on inbound vision and strategy; influence organizational-level decisions and align roadmaps to deliver the vision- Build mechanisms to consolidate and inspect inbound metrics; provide new insights to senior leadership to improve their understanding of inbound- Partner with stakeholders from Supply Chain, Product, Operations, BI, and Finance to evaluate newly proposed initiatives; evolve the process into a highly automated and structured approach- Conduct independent research to identify supply chain inefficiencies, recommend solves, and influence partner teams to prioritize and executeAbout the teamSupply Chain Innovation (SCI) identify, evaluate, and lead Inbound Supply Chain initiatives, and scale them to improve end to end cost, speed, and network resiliency. For initiatives with high impact and broad scope with no clear line of ownership, we provide leadership to develop, trial, and scale solutions to full network implementationWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- 5+ years of program or project management experience- 5+ years of supply chain experience- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization- Experience working in a matrixed organizationOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
