DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis internship is designed for students to gain experience in various aspects of data preservation activities, critical minerals research, laboratory procedures, instrumental analysis, and sample acquisition and retrieval. As a Geology Intern, you will assist with cataloging, photographing, locating and identifying geologic samples and entering information into a database, and assist staff with geochemistry and petrography methods and preparation of samples.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:Geology/Earth ScienceEnvironmental Science
Freshman year completed.Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.
Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
