If you're a self-starter who enjoys working independently and is looking for a great opportunity Regions Hospital is looking for a General Repair Worker to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide maintenance, repair to all hospital buildings, rooms, and furnishings. To provide signs and installation in accordance with A.D.A. requirements. Maintain all fire suppression equipment by PM's and filling as needed. To repair / maintain / install floor covering, wall covering and protection, related accessories, furniture, ceramic tile, room accessories, and related items. Make specialty items as needed and other duties as assigned. Provide concrete work as needed. Maintain records on fire suppression equipment, and provide training as needed. Replace all burnt out incandescent light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and starters on campus and related buildings. Inspect all interior and exterior lighting of the Hospital for proper operation. Report faulty fixtures and electrical problems beyond proficiency to the facility management center. Maintains adequate stocks and records of light bulbs and fluorescent tubes in storage. Report to supervisor when hazardous tubes / bulbs are reaching storage capacity. Work schedule: Day Shift Required Qualifications: Education: High school graduation or equivalent. Experience: One year of experience in maintenance work that involved repairs, maintenance or alterations to building equipment and support systems.
