　　Summary

　　General Laborers work in production areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation of the production lines and to assist when specific needs arise. This position exists to ensure product quality and production levels are achieved and sustained within the production areas. It is imperative that the person conduct her/himself in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surrounds.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　• Ensures necessary level of communication is maintained with the appropriate personnel.

　　• Ensures proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of the equipment and systems.

　　• Utilizes computer and computer programs to communicate, document, and track shift information and ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner.

　　• Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge, and may assist with training other plant personnel.

　　• Must be able to strip and slip case product safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be able to rework held pallets safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be able to build, break down, re-line, and maintain tote supply safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be able to hand palletize safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be able to complete major clean up, daily cleaning, and start up duties safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be able to operate the compactor safely, efficiently, and correctly.

　　• Must be trained, qualified, and able to relieve the Frozen Inspectors, Auto Casers, and Palletizer for breaks as requested.

　　• Must be trained and able to operate the Flat Packer and the Retail Dyna Paks, and work as Ticket Maker and relieve for breaks as requested.

　　• Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs - Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others.

　　• Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

　　• Maintains necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.

　　• Ensures that additional accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards.

　　Typical Education

　　• High school diploma or equivalent required.

　　Night Shift (6pm - 6am)

　　Must have an acceptable safety record.

　　Must have an acceptable attendance record.

　　Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
