Job Description
BUSINESS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER, Business and Digital Transformation Office (BDTO), to lead efforts to evaluate process improvement opportunities related to MIT’s transformation initiatives to improve its administrative processes, systems, and services and leverage AI. Will work with BDTO project portfolio directors and stakeholders across the Institute to analyze business requirements and processes, validate potential automation opportunities, and propose prioritization; and support BDTO project portfolio directors and MIT’s internal AI working groups with process optimization expertise in discovery, identification of automation processes, implementation of solutions, and identification of risks.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in a related field; at least seven years of experience in business process improvement engineering; experience working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team to design, build, and support RPA/ AI solutions; experience solving problems without clear precedent; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to develop consensus and solutions; ability to influence and negotiate with others to deliver results; demonstrated accountability when following through on tasks and meeting deadlines; ability to prioritize, work through, and solve problems; and work experience with UiPath or similar RPA/AI solutions. PREFERRED: experience in finance operations; Six Sigma Black Belt or relevant industry process improvement certification; business process modeling experience; experience working in higher education or nonprofit institutions; and experience with process simulations and simulations analysis.
