　　What does an exceptional Staff Data Engineer do?

　　As a Data Engineer, you will be a part of a small but growing team of hardworking people responsible to lead the Data platform initiatives at Clover and establish a scalable and streamlined Data ops culture across all Clover engineering teams. Work with cross functional teams to establish Data governance, Data pipelining standards, client facing reporting enhancements and other analytical or data needs including integration with BI tools

　　As a Staff Data Engineer, you can look forward to:

　　• Being the shepherd in establishing Snowflake Governance across several business units.

　　• Design, development, implementation and maintenance of varied ETL/ELT data platform solutions and related data models.

　　• Leveraging BI tools like Sigma atop Snowflake to create analytical insights for business critical flows.

　　• Collaborate with engineering, product development and test engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

　　• Optimize data structures, database performance, rewrite queries for optimization to ensure efficiency and scalability.

　　Basic Qualifications for consideration:

　　• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

　　• 5+ years of Data engineering experience

　　• 5+ years of experience with MySQL or similar relational databases

　　• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake or similar analytical databases

　　• 3+ years of experience with building data pipelines and data models

　　• Experienced in the day-to-day practicalities of Software Development Lifecycles such as Scrum.

　　Preferred Qualifications for consideration:

　　• Understanding of databases (MySQL preferred)

　　• Experience writing efficient SQL queries including multi-table joins

　　• Experience with a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud

　　• Python scripting experience

　　• Data warehouse experience (Snowflake preferred)

　　• Data analysis/reporting/mathematics background

　　Salary Range

　　$128,800.00 - $219,000.00

　　These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
