　　5+ years of firmware and device driver development in bare-metal or RTOS environments. 3+ years relevant experience building system software and drivers directly collaborating with image sensing technologies. Experience developing applications in image processing or computational photography is a plus. Ability to optimize software for resource constrained embedded systems (e.g. power, throughput, memory/compute). Strong, demonstrable coding skills in C/C++ in production environments. Familiarity with toolchains targeting ARM Cortex-M/R/A, ATMEL AVR, etc. Experience with advanced MCU/SoC features and development environments. Working knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. MIPI, I2C, SPI, UART). Knowledge of audio, platform security and sensing technologies is a plus. Experience with debugging tools (e.g. JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Must have hands-on experience in rapid prototyping, hardware bring-up, software design and development. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, influence and negotiate optimally at all levels of management. Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways Availability to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support is also expected.

The Embedded Firmware Engineer will be individually responsible for all things firmware related. Architect, design, develop, and maintain hardware and software systems for Apple home and audio products. You will identify and integrate technologies necessary to solve complex problems to build out amazing new product features.

　　At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
