The Full Charge Bookkeeper position Robert Half is currently filling and could be a good fit for you. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in North Attleboro, Rhode Island. If you're comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

　　Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

　　Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

　　Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

　　Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time

　　Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

　　Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

　　Maintaining historical records by filing documents Requirements - Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree

　　Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

　　A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting

　　Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

　　Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

　　Strong organization skills

　　Background in payroll preferred

　　Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

　　3+ years of bookkeeping experience

　　High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

　　Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

　　Year end closings experience

　　Deep understanding of month end closings
