Your responsibilities
Manage several aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
Conceive imaginative alternatives and tips to reduce costs and revamp financial performance of a company
Be a factor in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
Dissect actual results at the corporate and division levels
Provide assistance in the development of monthly financial reporting and other business data
Support internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
Keep up-to-date on annual budgeting process
Encourage the monitoring and maintenance of internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Strengthen and evaluate budgets and income statement forecasts
Requirements
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Costpoint (Deltek) experience
Command of Deltek Costpoint
Costpoint experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
