Description
The AWS Cloud spans 102 Availability Zones within 32 geographic regions around the world, with announced plans for 12 more Availability Zones and 4 more AWS Regions in Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Thailand. This position resides within the Region Services organization, which is responsible for our global expansion initiatives and launching new regions and AZ's for AWS.
As a Frontend Engineer, you will be the technical leader developing improvements across multiple AWS consoles. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and UX designers to build browser-based user experiences that are easy to understand and improve the security of AWS customers. Every day, you will be coding in React, Java, and Javascript, as well as using many AWS products. You will also drive the operational excellence of the services owned by your team, including continuously improve the performance and security of the application. Basic Qualifications
2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
