　　About this Role

　　FiberTel is looking for a Fleet Mechanicfor our San Jose, CA location.

　　TheFleet Mechanic will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of company fleet vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will assist the Shop Manager in these duties. He/she will perform the repair of heavy equipment and vehicles while maintaining a clean and safe work area. This position will require high attention to detail and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.

　　What You'll Do

　　Position Responsibilities:

　　Inspect, maintain, and repair yellow-iron machines

　　Perform engine repairs and maintenance

　　Maintain and repair turbocharger

　　Perform safety inspections

　　Inspect, maintain, and repair transmission systems

　　Make necessary repairs to hydraulic and air brakes

　　Repair and maintain HVAC systems

　　Make electrical repairs

　　Perform oil changes as needed

　　Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment

　　What You'll Bring

　　Position Qualifications:

　　3-5 years experience in Yellow-Iron mechanic work

　　Computer skills including things like word, and excel

　　Ability to communicate effectively

　　Ability to manage a schedule and organize time

　　Willing to travel out of state (60%)

　　Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance

　　Experience with hydraulic and electrical repairs

　　Knowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gas

　　Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner

　　Welding Experience

　　Experience with Ford 6.7 Diesel and GM 6.6 Duramax (Preferred)

　　Safety Inspection certified (Preferred)

　　Management experience (Preferred)

　　Class A CDL (Highly Preferred)

　　Diesel mechanic certified (Required)

　　The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $32.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
