　　This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge of live fish and how to properly care for them

　　We are searching for a new member of the Meijer family! As we grow, we’re seeking an entry-level team member to join us as a General Merchandise Clerk who is able to complete a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising. You will also collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed. Are you a people person? Do you want to have a positive impact on your community? 　　While this position will primarily work with our live fish display and in the aisles where pet supplies are stocked this role will also work in various other areas of the general merchandise department.

　　What will you be doing?

　　You will build rapport with customers.

　　Provide daily cleaning of Fish Habitats

　　Feed Fish to Vendor Standard

　　Stock fish into the appropriate tanks when delivered

　　Monitor water and fish health conditions

　　Provide weekly maintenance to the water filter system

　　Occasional display changes to showcase new fish tank décor

　　Work in the aisles of the pets department as time allows to straighten and stock products

　　Other duties as assigned by store leadership

　　Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.

　　Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.

　　Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.

　　Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.

　　Ability to stand for long periods of time.
