What you bring:

Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician or in a similar role.

Knowledge of various fire alarm systems and their components.

Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Valid driver-s license and clean driving record.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs diagnosis and troubleshooting as required on fire/security, card access, door entry, paging/sound and other electronic systems.

Communicates with ARK team members to effectively pursue company goals of servicing systems according to acceptable standards and practices.

Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their life safety system.

Operating/maintaining company vehicle.

Required Skills/Abilities:

NICET certifications a plus, but not required

Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems

Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.

Competent computer skills

Education and Experience:

AA degree in electronics preferred, or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus.

Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.

Valid driver-s license

Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs

Must be willing to work at heights

Must be able to operate electrical tools and a company vehicle

Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
