In this role, you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. Also delivers assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules. Acts as key interface for technical support with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction. May mentor less-experienced staff. May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.What You'll NeedExceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.Ability to convey complex subject matter to a non-technical audience.Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.To be a self-starter and work well with little supervision.Understanding of electronics to include Ohm's law, resistor color code, and relay logic for control of third-party equipment.Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems of small to medium complexity.To be driven to achieve necessary certifications/licensing related to products, industry, and city/state.<
