This position is responsible for all aspects of materials managements, logistics, warehousing, and logistic systems. This includes system improvements, standardizing processes, and advancing technology to drive continuous improvements the total warehouse. Initially this position will represent Operations on 2 large critical system enhancements projects for Automate Storage & Retrieval System and integration of JDE.
In additional to delivering daily key results (Safety, Quality, Services, cost, etc.) this role is accountable to developing and implementing a long-range warehouse vision, strategies, and tactics. Systemic tools such as Lean, 6 sigma, and project mgmt. will be used to engage and drive all level of the organization in achieving the vision.
Supervises and trains the Warehousers, Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory supervisor and ASRS operators to support plant operations, product shipping, and component receiving to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply of materials to production rooms to meet customer demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):Represent Warehouse system initiatives such as updating ASRS and JDE integration.Responsible for all day-to-day site warehousing activity and long-term material storage strategy.Oversee the Warehouse team on shipping/ receivingWork with the cross-function site leaderships team to lean an initiative to optimize the site Warehouse to reduce cycle time, minimize inventory levels and reduce cost.Working with the Sales Team, develop innovative Warehouse process that provide market differentiation.Design and uses metrics to improve processes around shipping/receiving.Maintain open communication with customers using appropriate tools as necessaryEnsure compliance with all applicable regulatory SOP and cGMP guidelines.Manges processes to assure safety, optimize quality performance and meet on-time delivery.Champions and fosters involvement by all levels of the organization of the implementations and maintenance of "Best Practice" processes, enhance teamwork, accountability and drive a sense of urgency throughout entire area.Build and develops a committed team to manage all aspects of area of responsibility.Establishes through visual management and continually enhances self-sustaining processes that drive associate involvement and support decision-making at the lowest possible levelKnowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
