With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A).
Position Overview:
As the Manager of FP& A, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within the organization. This position is based in our New York City office and requires expertise in financial modeling, as well as a strong background in lending and mortgage industries.
Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Strategic Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and economic indicators to inform strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and business opportunities.
Lending and Mortgage Expertise:
Utilize your expertise in lending and mortgage industries to contribute insights into financial planning, risk management, and profitability analysis.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and inform financial strategies.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing clear and concise insights into key financial metrics.
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on the lending and mortgage industries.
Proven expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
