Role Responsibilities:
Advise and support the General Manager on repair financial business analysis, develop business strategies and plans to meet all financial commitments including supporting operational functions.
Review and prepare financial data required for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting including financial deliverables of the site in conformance with the established policies.
Perform periodic review of the internal control environment including quarterly account reviews, Accounting & Control Assessments and adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Responsible for all financial forecasting, monthly accounting close, cost initiatives and standard metric reporting. Summarize monthly forecasts and conduct periodic performance to plan meetings.
Supervise and prepare quarterly business review presentations and an annual business plan.
Partnering with SBU Finance teams and Collins Cost Accounting on annual standards setting process.
Develop talent through a collaborative assessment of current knowledge, skills, and abilities and an actionable plan to achieve training, personal growth, and opportunities through individual development plans. Take a leadership role in developing finance staff.
Mentor and coaching your team through visible engagement.
To manage the financial reporting and budgetary processes and to facilitate the financial management of the company.
Directs the accounting functions of the company and submits reports reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results to management.
Participates in the development of accounting policies and procedures and administers approved accounting practices.
Prepares financial and operating statements.
Supervises the maintenance of general ledgers, banking and cashflow activities.
Coordinates with external auditors as per audit accounting procedures and records
Ensures of taxation transactions comply with current legislation and/or corporate requirements.
Drives continuous improvement utilizing organization CORE methodology tool to improve performance in key quality performance metrics.
Ensure full compliance to all required local regulations and corporate requirements, especially in the areas of Ethics, EHS and International Trade Compliance
To work on others related assigned task as and when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW with minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years in Finance Management or Senior Accounting role or in absence of a degree, 13 years of relevant experience
Ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
Highly motivated team player with strong drive for success and the ability to work independently.
Maturity and leadership in dealing with adverse situations and staff development.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
People oriented and able to communicate well with staff at all levels / functions.
