Description

The Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) AMER team is seeking a Program Manager to drive key initiatives across our global organization. This role manages the integration of building launches, site type retrofits, and site decommissions. In addition, the role focuses on cost reduction and process improvement projects for the GPCS AMER team. You will work cross functionally across Global Procurement Operations (GPO) pillars including Category Management, Supplier Management, and Site Procurement while partnering with operations and suppliers to balance risk and efficiency in our global supply chain. This role will be required to invent and simplify and continually rethink how we manage inventory and execute our processes.

The Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS), reporting into the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), ensures that Amazon gets value for money for non-inventory goods to provide the Fulfillment Centers with the necessary shipping supplies they need to operate smoothly. This includes securing the constant flow of packaging goods and services, supplied at the best overall value to the business on a day to day basis, Blanket Purchase Order management, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) bridging ownership, Accounts Payable invoice hold resolution, site launch support, and escalation management. GPCS currently provides these services for 1600 sites across 15 countries. The team has two divisions: GPCS AMER and GPCS EMEA.

Key job responsibilities

Facilitate the integration of building launches, site type retrofits, and site decommissions for the execution portion of the GPCS Amer team.

Oversee the adoption and improvement of standard work.

Implement measurement controls (metrics and reports) for launch initiatives

Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems

Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth and scalability of the business

Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers

Manage stakeholder relationships and internal processes, and define standards

Manage multiple complex cross-regional and cross-functional projects end-to-end

Monitor Launch metrics, and report on the status of key objectives through MBRs

Develop, execute, and drive scalable programs, standard work initiatives, and adoption across multiple organizations and teams

Partner with internal teams to identify problems and real-time solutions, including data analytics and reporting

About the team

The GPCS team is a global team responsible for ordering, forecasting, and demand planning for non-inventory goods and services. We prioritize our operations customers while developing strong relationships with suppliers, and key stakeholders across the Global Procurement Organization and other Amazon businesses. Our team centralizes non-inventory processes in order to drive standardization, cost reduction, and efficiencies, and operates on a 24/7 basis to provide consistent support to stakeholders. Basic Qualifications

2+ years of program or project management experience

2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of driving process improvements experience

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
