Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking a Financial Analyst for Accounting, Analysis and Reporting activities.
The successful candidate will ensure that accounting processes are run in a controlled environment, meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations and should possess expert knowledge of reconciliations, month end close processes, hold strong Accounting acumen, understand the flow and impact of transactions.
The Financial Analyst responsibilities include -performing month end closing activities including Pre-reconciliations and journal posting, preparation of monthly reconciliations for VAT GL account balances globally and perform monthly balance sheet analysis.
-Support the leadership in conducting Dive deep into complex reconciling scenarios for reconciliations, coordinate with relevant stakeholders and upstream processes to identify root cause and long term fix. -support reconciliation projects across geographies, participate in automation and companywide initiatives.
-Hold good communication skills as roles require engagement with stakeholders both verbally and written across multiple geographies.
-On the audit front, Financial analyst will manage department’s response to internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with SOX requirements for all geographies/activities handled by Shared Service center.
-This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.
-Understanding of indirect taxes is preferable.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of finance experience
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience in handling internal & external audits
