Financial Analyst
Job DescriptionAs a key member of the ATS IA - Columbus Finance team your primary objective will be to provide project financials to the business. You will be a business partner to the project and operational management teams to help ensure successful project execution. This will be accomplished through financial reporting, measuring and controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
ResponsibilitiesOperational Duties
Liaise with Project Management team, providing timely and accurate financial informationReview PM's forecast to ensure integrityPrepare and comment on monthly project variancesPrepare financial analysis on projects for managementLead role in the project revenue forecasting processContribute to the preparation of the monthly MBR packageAssist in the month end, quarter end, and year end reporting requirementsParticipate in the yearly planning processPrepare cash flows as requiredMonitor and prepare project milestones billings to ensure that progress billings are up to dateFinancial Reporting and AccountingResponsible for the accounting and administration of all contracts in progress including:Setup and maintain job control sheets for customer contracts and change ordersSetup and maintain projects in JDEEnsure job margins in JDE are consistent with the project manager's forecastMonitor project milestones billings to ensure that progress billings are up to dateMonitor intercompany billings and payments on shared projectsMonitor and keep track of collections from customerAssist in the preparation of the monthly SFRLiaise with external auditors with respect to project based inquiresInternal Control, Policies and ProceduresEnsure that policies and procedures are adhered to in a consistent manner within the division and that the financial reporting standards are applied consistentlyRegularly review policies and procedures with Divisional Controller and Financial Staff, to develop an ATS best practice approach for the financial management of the companyAssist in the development and maintenance of company policies and proceduresEnsure the safeguarding of company assetsQualificationsEducation: Degree in Business, or Accounting, CPA/CMA designation required
Experience
