We have an exciting opportunity as a Finance Business Partner who will lead the management of Insurance, Bonds and Risk during the bid phase.
This role develops, analyzes and models operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data. Prepares operations analyses, including analysis of competitors, operational effectiveness and capacity utilization. Prepares plans or recommends solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, evaluates the potential impact of changes and reports on economic forecasts that affect the industry.Also solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.Works independently; receives minimal guidance.May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.Has in-depth knowledge in own area and basic knowledge of related areas.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.
Responsibilities:
Maintain relationship with broker and bonding facilities and meets with broker regularly to discuss any open insurance topics
Review RFP’s for bonding requirements, and if customer provides bond language/form, review to see if in line with industry standard bond language and liaise with broker for approval of said bond language/form
Request all bonds, collect and provide the necessary documentation required
Act as first point of contact for the sureties on claims that they may receive on any bonds issued.
Monitor and manage the different facilities in coordination with the broker to ensure KTC US has necessary bonding capacity available for projected new business from pipeline.
Work in coordination with KTC AG and legal department to manage the necessary Parent Company Guarantees are in place timely with all required approvers in Austria (Board & Supervisory Board).
Review and approve all invoices from each bond issued.
Acts as risk manager for KTC NAM
Strategize with insurance broker annually on renewal strategy for new policy periods in coordination with corporate HQ’s Risk Manager
Work with bid team to review RFP’s for customer insurance requirements and provides a summary to the business to aid in bid / no bid decisions
Will occasionally get involved in customer negotiations on stringent insurance requirement to try and negotiate commercially reasonable insurance requirements.
Acts as claims manager for all insurance related claims, business claims
Works very closely with NAM legal on all business claims and other contract related topics like penalties, subcontract vendor issues
Field and respond to request for Certificates of Insurance (COI) and makes sure evidenced insurance meets customer requirements.
Conducts risk assessment on an annual basis on KTC NAM’s business to ensure adequate coverage
Review and approve all invoices related to insurances.
Required Experience:
Experience in Tolling and Transportation Industry
Experience working with bonds and insurance
Knowledge of commercial business practices, preferably in the US and Canada
Availability to work typical US business hours (ET)
