What is the job about?
The role is supporting the WU (Water Utility) Finance Business Partner M&A (Mergers and acquisitions), Sales Operations & Excellence with information, analysis, financial forecasting, expense budgeting and reporting. Responsibilities include researching trends in financial performance of the division, departments within the WU Sales Operations & Customer Experience (SOCX) function, establishing budgets and forecasts and divisional financial reporting and not least continuously staying close to the important development activities and stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities :
Collaborate with the SOCX-team to analyse financial data and performance metrics.
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate sales initiatives, project sales, pricing strategies, incentive programs.
Provides analysis of business drivers, financial performance improvement action recommendations, sales analytics, and other performance-based analytics.
Assist in the preparation of the departmental (SOCX) forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making within the SOCX function and the division.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales targets and financial goals.
Monitor key performance indicators related to SOCX goals.
Prepare accurate and timely reporting to the different stakeholders throughout the SOCX functions, including the Trade vs. Projects financial reporting.
Support in ad-hoc analysis requested from the SOCX FBP.
Your background :
We imagine that you have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or IS with accounting/controlling background required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance role using SAP and TM1 (ideally the latter).
Bilingual (English as second language).
Experience building planning models, including budgets, and forecast cycles/programs.
Good analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Extensive use of complex spreadsheets and datasets to consolidate and analyze data.
Working style that is collaborative, service oriented and supportive.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work efficiently and be self-sufficient.
Good knowledge of SAP R3 FI, SD modules and BW
Knowledge in programming macros and visual basic is desirable but not mandatory.
