Use financial management systems to input time and attendance records. Operate office machines, such as telephone, copier, fax and personal computer, to complete administrative work. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: being responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties to facilitate administrative operations; input and retrieve information from a computer to be used for reports and correspondence; resolve problems associated with the administrative and clerical aspects of the office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience above in order to qualify. This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Clerical Customer Service Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
