Job Summary:

Under indirect supervision, loads merchandise onto vehicles and transports between the warehouse and various locations within assigned medical center. Unloads merchandise and delivers at destination. Picks up supplies and equipment. Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and ensures cleanliness is maintained. May perform all duties of Warehouse Worker.

Essential Responsibilities:

Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws. Provides delivery service within assigned medical center by loading packaged merchandise onto vehicle; assures proper and secure placement of items to ensure safe and convenient delivery. May utilize equipment for loading and unloading such as pallet jack, dolly, and hydraulic lifter. Operates company vehicle in compliance with established procedures and the laws of the Motor Vehicle Code. Delivers merchandise to various medical center locations; obtains signature of receiving party for merchandise delivered and notes any discrepancies between amounts listed and received. Maintains delivery records/issues logs for items delivered to users or transferred between primary and secondary locations. Picks up, weighs and delivers clean and soiled linen (including doctors coats) and between facilities following established procedures. Picks up merchandise designated for return to storeroom; unloads returned merchandise. Inventories and completes accurate inventory records to maintain pre-established par levels. Stocks shelves for par replenishment. Inspects vehicle for any malfunctions. Checks oil, water and gas levels; checks tire for inflation. Performs other safety checks. Maintains maintenance records on vehicle and ensures cleanliness is maintained. Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations with Health Plan members, the public, and other personnel. Basic Qualifications:

Experience

· Clean driving record indicating no accidents within the past 6 months and no moving violations.

· DMV printout required.

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

· Ability to recognize maintenance problems with company vehicles and perform routine maintenance.

· Able to lift 75 lb.

Education

· High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

· Drivers License (in location where applicable)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience as Driver/Delivery Clerk.

· Basic warehouse knowledge.

Notes:

· Ability to operate a class C box truck.
