　　Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Field Engineer to be based out of Norwalk, CT . This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

　　Responsibilities

　　The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

　　Under general supervision, performs routine duties.

　　Understand geotechnical boring logs from plan sets to track and record field operations.

　　Assist APM with submittals, RFIs, takeoffs, scheduling, and field coordination.

　　Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.

　　Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.

　　May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Bachelors Degree in Geotech, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + an internship in a related fieldPreferred Qualifications:

　　Heavy Civil Construction experience preferred

　　Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite

　　Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail

　　Additional Information:

　　The salary range for this position is between $78,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
