This role involves strategic planning, budget management, team leadership, and ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of all ESD 123 facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage building security and maintain preventative maintenance program including but not limited to inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and perform minor repairs as needed to ensure good operating and safe facilities. Oversee the maintenance for HVAC systems for the facilities.Perform maintenance tasks including, but not limited to replace burnt out light bulbs; refill bathroom essentials tighten loose switch plates, doors, hinges; verify operation of sprinkling equipment, perform minor repairs; check and clean roof drains; remove clogs from toilets and sinks; paint doors or walls; replace broken ceiling tiles.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health and safety, including implementing, and overseeing safety protocols, emergency response plans, and evacuation procedures.Manage and maintain the inventory and surplus processes for facilities that contribute to the overall organization's cost-effectiveness, sustainability goals, and operational efficiency.Lead and manage the ESD 123 safety committee including conducting regular audits and training staff on emergency response plans and safety procedures. Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including but not limited to expenses for maintenance, repairs, improvements, and identifying cost savings opportunities.Travel off site for the purpose of performing tasks necessary to support ESD 123 owned or partnering district facilities.Oversee and manage the facility's durable supplies such as water fill stations, coffee service airpots and dispensers.Contact, schedule, coordinate, and supervise facility repairs with licensed contractors as required and/or deemed appropriate.Eliminate hazards; remove snow and ice from walkways and apply de-icer where needed.Work occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as requested, including reporting, and responding to emergency calls or after-hours alarms.Oversee facilities coordination at the ESD 123 main campus for all internal and external room usage.Ensure all facilities are ready for the daily operations of the ESD.Collaborate with department heads, executives, school district personnel, and other stakeholders to understand and their facilities related needs.Maintain confidentiality.Follow board policies and procedures.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs related duties as assigned.**Related duties as required are duties that may not be specifically listed in the Position Description but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's classification of work.
