In this position...
The Facilities Engineer holds responsibility for implementing continuous improvement initiatives involving facilities equipment, securing project funding through creation and submission of appropriations requests, working with the plant skilled trades on various projects and daily maintenance, and for any covering Maintenance Supervisor or Automation Engineering absences.
What you'll do...
The Facilities Engineer will work autonomously to identify root cause of problems with facilities equipment and implement solutions. Act as the liaison between the plant and engineering teams for upcoming projects. Lead Architectural Engineering and Construction Management Partners working in conjunction with Ford Land Building and Facility teams in the delivery of plant construction and renovations. Assure systems compatibility for new equipment• Determine building requirements including utilities, water, sewer, electrical, hazardous material requirements. Take charge of utility system operations and maintenance including HV & LV electrical systems, HVAC system, CDA system, fire protection system, cool water system related to utilities. Maintain project budgets and manpower for the department. Work with outside contractors on construction projects. Develop cost savings projects. Respond to breakdowns in-field and assist in troubleshooting and restoring equipment to operation. Travel occasionally and work weekends, afternoon and night shift as the need arises.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar Demonstrable experience implementing continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodology 5+ years experience AutoCAD operation 5+ years experience in relevant career fields

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do...
The Facilities Engineer should be able to work autonomously to identify root cause of problems with production equipment and implement solutions. The Facilities Engineer should be a liaison between the Final Assembly area and the staff-level engineering teams and work to in-source projects which would otherwise be sent to outside contractors. Lastly the Facilities Engineer should be able to respond to breakdowns in-field and assist in troubleshooting and restoring equipment to operation. This position will require occasional weekend and afternoon and night shift work.
