　　The Role

　　Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is offering a $1500.00 sign-on bonus to EXPERIENCED CALIBRATOR new hires, position requires a minimum of three years of experience as a Calibrator. 　　A Calibrator calibrates mechanical measuring equipment and generates equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains mechanical, optical, and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of equipment such as outside micrometer, veriners, depth micrometer, torque wrenches and indicators and documents calibration data in computer system.

　　Must Have

　　Candidates must able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and must take and pass a respirator fit test. Must be able to work indooors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs. Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test.

　　Must have three years experience in tool/equipment calibration.
