Here, you will make an impact by:Developing detailed event project plans, timelines, and cost considerations to ensure the coordination and procurement of event operation needs (venue, production, catering, A/V, etc.)Work with cross functional team members regularly to align marketing, communications, and event needs (room environment, online experience, presentation, flow, logistics, messaging, etc.)Coordinate on-brand execution of event day logistics, including agenda management, staff/vendor direction and timely communication to ensure successful program deliveryEvaluate events success through generating reports and recommendations gathered from event surveys, post-event reviews, and leadership inputTrack the overall event expenses through event completion and stay within the budget, provide regular spending updates to managementReconciliation of event expenses and invoices through PO and expense reporting processesEnsure positive and professional interactions with team members, vendors, and executive/C-suite leadershipYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited universityOrHighschool Diploma/GED and a minimum of eight (8) years of event planning experienceFour (4) years of event planning experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Proven experience in corporate event planning and coordinationStrong project management skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Suite software and toolsFlexibility to adapt to changing needs and strong problem-solving skillsFor current employees, internal transfer restrictions may not apply.
