STEM Learning is the UK's leading provider of STEM education and careers support, working with schools, colleges, employers and partners to inspire and engage young people in STEM subjects and prepare them for the future.
As the Evaluation Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive portfolio of evaluation projects across STEM Learning's programmes. You will work closely with the Head of Impact and Evidence, as well as other teams and external partners, to ensure that our evaluation activities are robust, effective and useful. You will also lead and develop a small team of evaluation staff, ensuring that they deliver high-quality work and achieve their objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Masters or PhD in social research, education or related subject, or a relevant professional qualification or experience in a similar or related role.
Expertise in social research and project or programme evaluation, including designing and implementing evaluation plans, methods and tools, analysing and synthesising data, and reporting and communicating findings.
Experience of managing projects and people, including planning and progressing work activities, monitoring performance, providing feedback and coaching, and ensuring value for money.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt your style and delivery to different audiences and purposes.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to form effective working relationships, influence decision-making, negotiate outcomes and disseminate best practice.
A positive, conscientious, inquisitive and solution-oriented attitude, with a keen interest in STEM education and its impact on young people.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in York. We operate a flexible working policy including the opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week.
