Job Description: Summary: The person in this position will work closely with a team focused on supporting Barr's staff with their equipment needs for project-focused work. This opportunity is a great fit for someone with strong organizational and communication skills who enjoys supporting team needs. Responsibilities: Providing hands-on equipment maintenance including calibration, minor repairs, cleaning, and ready-for-use for environmental and engineering monitoring Documenting calibration and maintenance data Managing tool and fleet records in our asset and fleet management systems Maintaining clean, organized equipment storage and warehouse areas Assisting with equipment orders, inventory control of expendable items Packaging and preparing samples, equipment, and other items for shipping Assisting with vehicle maintenance activities.Including scheduling and routine maintenance trips to an automotive shop and regular trips to the vehicle detailing center Minimum Qualifications: Associate of applied science degree in a related field or two years of experience related to the position Familiarity with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent attention to detail and organization skills Strong oral and written communication skills Self-initiative and motivation with an emphasis on client service Flexible working style including ability to work both independently and on a team Willingness to occasionally modify personal schedule to help meet project deadlines Ability to occasionally work outdoors year round Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of environmental equipment Experience supporting environmental engineering company or contractor and supporting equipment needs for internal customers This position requires presence in a Barr office Monday through Friday during Barr's core hours of business. #LI-Onsite Open positions at Barr Engineering Co. do not have application deadlines.
