ProfessionalTime Type:Full timePosition Term:12 MonthPosition Details:Summary of Duties:This position will coordinate student development and assessment for University Recreation, including planning and evaluation of staff training, safety education, audits, learning outcomes and personnel evaluations. Develop and administer program evaluation tools to measure program participation and learning outcomes of employment, in collaboration with departmental staff utilizing web-based surveys, WSU assessment and survey tools, and statistical software. Plan, coordinate and manage University Recreation Safety Education program including personnel and program management, program planning, revenue generation and evaluation, and staff emergency response audits.Supervision | 25%Administration | 20%Program Management | 20%Fiscal Management | 15%Risk Management | 15%Other Duties | 5%Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Business, Recreation, Sport Management, Higher Education or related field) and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area to include a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.• Currently certified in one of the following American Red Cross Instructor Certifications: CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor, CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.• Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.Preferred Qualifications:• Current certified in more than one of the following American Red Cross Instructor Certifications: CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor, CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.• Master's Degree in a field relevant to area of specialization.• Four or more years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience.• Experience in the development and implementation of extensive staff training and evaluation programs.• Experience implementing programs and services that meet the needs of a diverse campus population.• Experience in the development and management of budgets.• Experience in the measurement of student learning outcomes• Experience in data management and statistical analysis.• Knowledge of University Recreation mission, programs, services, and facilities.Additional Information:Area/College:Student AffairsDepartment Name:University RecreationCity, State, Zip:Pullman, WA 99164Department Link:https://urec.wsu.edu/Monthly Salary:$4,061.90 - $5,077.36In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
