POSITION SUMMARYThe Epic Program Director guides a project team in the implementation and optimization of Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems. The role is a key leader of the implementation phase and is responsible for managing all areas of the project to maintain a common vision of organizational success.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES1.Coordinate project implementation activities by providing subject matter expertise, information, and leadership guidance to the project team to facilitate timely decision-making.2.Navigate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the organization to align business processes and workflows to support the successful implementation of Epic.3.Advocate and promote Epic systems positively by communicating the progress of various aspects of the implementation to key stakeholders.4.In collaboration with the Epic Steering Committee and Program Executive, provide support to the project team by navigating roadblocks/ escalating barriers, raising concerns, and managing status of milestones when implementation activities are at risk of meeting project goals and objectives, or when misaligned with our organizational values.5.to ensure the goals and objectives are achieved.
6.Support activities that promote program messaging and change management activities to create visibility to program outcomes and activities impacting the Epic implementation.7.Responsible for managing the project budget plan and identifying, flagging and analyzing potential financial and budgetary risks.LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor’s degreeWork Experience: Five years of healthcare experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:o Ability to work with multiple teams and build positive relationshipso Capable with large-scale programs and projectso Expertise in leading an implementation across hospitals, medical groups and/or revenue cycle industries.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCertification: Epic CertifiedWork Experience: Seven years of healthcare IT experience• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:o Deep knowledge of Epic systems.o Proven success managing a large-scale implementation across a healthcare organization.
