JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson seeksfull-time and part-time Environmental Service Aides (Cleaning Staff) tojoin their team in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The ideal candidate issomeone meticulous with cleaning and able to maintain a hospitalenvironment conducive to recovery and health. This position requires awillingness to collaborate with other staff and be in good mental andphysical condition as you will be standing and walking during workperiods. WHAT YOU WILL DO. Understand and follow policies/proceduresestablished for quality assurance, safety and infection control. Emptytrash from assigned areas, transport to compactor, and compact asneeded. Dust and/or disinfect on a daily basis all furniture, hardsurfaces, glass, and equipment with appropriate disinfectant cleaningsolution. Make beds and replenish laundry and supplies to patient careareas, rooms, carts, etc. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and/or wax floorsurfaces as assigned. Maintain necessary supplies and linens. Receivelinen from providers, stocks linen room, deliver laundry to and fromhospital departments and storage. Flexibility required as you mayrequire travel to offsite clinics or assist in other areas, if needed.WHAT WE OFFER. \$15.00 - \$19.50 per hour starting pay based onexperience. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Experience working in anenvironmental service, janitorial or institutional cleaning positionpreferred. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teammembers and patients. A professional demeanor that ensures trust andcompetence amongst co-workers. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks.Ability to physically and mentally carry out the functions of thisposition which includes working in a hospital environment with exposureto cleaning chemicals and fumes; walking, bending, pushing, pulling andstanding for extended periods of time; carrying/lifting up to 30 poundsfrequently.
