The Enterprise/ Solution Architect will play an pivotal role in driving the Ford Credit Europe (FCE) strategic transformation efforts. You will work with multiple teams to help them in their migration from existing legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms. Your expertise in financial organisations, cloud technology and enterprise architecture will be instrumental in guiding our modernisation efforts and ensuring a seamless transition for both our business partners and our banking customers. As part of this role you will work with both engineering product teams and senior business managers to help define both the technical and business strategy at an enterprise level.

　　Help develop future strategic solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, IT product teams and external partners

　　Develop and maintain architecture artefacts including roadmaps and current / future state designs following industry standard architecture models such as TOGAF

　　Design transitional architectures to help product teams on their modernisation journeys and guide teams through required enterprise architecture processes ensuring alignment with banking standards.

　　Provide technical leadership and guidance to product teams, overseeing implementation of architecture designs and sharing your experience

　　Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

　　Experience of leading cross functional teams through large scale technology transformation initiatives within the financial industry

　　Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect, experience of helping to implement successful modernisation projects and migrating existing applications to the cloud

　　Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and associated best practices

　　Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong emphasis on follow through, whilst managing your own workload.

　　Proficiency in developing Enterprise / Solution Architecture artefacts using standard architecture frameworks such as TOGAF / Zachman

　　Knowledge of modern application technologies and platforms such as SalesForce, AEM, MFEs, Graph, Apollo, React

　　Knowledge of Security and identity management architecture standards

　　Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices and agile / SAFE frameworks

　　Implementation knowledge of common FinTech Core Banking platforms

　　Understanding of legacy platforms such as Java Weblogic, AS400 and DB2

　　Qualifications & Background

　　Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.

　　Degree in computer science/ engineering, Data science or related field

　　5+ years experience in Enterprise / Solution / Cloud Architecture

　　Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

　　Due to the nature of the work, which may be driven by strict deadlines, there will be an occasional requirement to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

　　Our products are used worldwide, therefore occasional trips abroad may also be required.

　　The role is based in Madrid (Spain) with allowance of partial teleworking.
