Job Summary
Work Shift
1 - First Shift
Are you the type of person who likes to produce, test, and operate prototype machinery and electrical components? In this role you will be working with our engineers to create electrical solutions to perform testing on Vermeer machines. We’re looking for someone who is capable of learning new skills and is not afraid to operate heavy equipment.
What You’ll Do
Create prototype and/or new parts and electrical harnesses for existing machine components.
Perform tests on various machines.
Assist with machines through production implementation.
Organize and inspect parts for engineering.
Document and record test reports, project challenges and changes to machine components.
What We’re Looking For
Technical School or skilled trade program in auto tech, diesel tech, industrial systems tech, ag systems tech or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of previous mechanical, agricultural, or technician experience and/or job training.
Fundamental knowledge to safely operate tools and complete assigned processes.
Fundamental knowledge in diagnostics and trouble shooting.
Fundamental knowledge of testing procedures for functions and operation level limits.
Travel
Occasional travel is expected of this position.Work Location
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
