　　Job Description

　　What your new role will entail;

　　Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in Scotland are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Glasgow Office. The teams are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (Thames Water, Scottish Water, Wessex Water, Welsh Water, Severn Trent Water locally), contractors and international projects. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career as a technical expert delivering solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the technical challenges of today and tomorrow.

　　Key responsibilities of this position include:

　　Mechanical Design : Undertake the design and review of Mechanical elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/ treatment projects, such as chemical dosing, pumping stations and sludge treatment units, from conception to handover.

　　Quality : Produce and review client deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures

　　Project Management: Assist in the preparation and management of bids using internal systems and operations

　　Mentor: Delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff

　　Being part of the team;

　　You will work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver a variety of interesting small and large projects from concept to detailed design. Many of the project teams are UK wide, offering an excellent, unbeatable opportunity to share expertise and broaden knowledge through the company.

　　Qualifications

　　Here's what we will need from you;

　　BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering (or another related engineering field).

　　Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.

　　Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge, ideally including treatment schemes.

　　Experience of managing projects, delegating tasks and technical mentoring.
