General Job Function:
Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):
Issue hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics for I&C products.Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of Safety System hardware products.Work closely with manufacturing to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specificationsPerform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products.Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescenceSupport development of test procedures and execution of functional testsInterface with suppliers and/or manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.Provide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issuesOpportunities to travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international)Execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design desired.Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layoutsAwareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry is a plusKnowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Experience in CAD/CAE (e.g. AutoCAD/Inventor) software is desiredStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong planning and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain management, and suppliersHighly motivated, self-starter.
