Mechanical Design Engineer: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and generate the shop drawings based on scope of work. Assist/draft plans, sections elevations, details, and diagrams in developing the shop drawings. Coordinate various products/samples, and details with design intent; interpret, compare, and coordinate drawing items with estimate/proposal by designing efficiently and value engineering. Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, product design to evaluate the feasibility, and maintenance requirements of product/application. Analyze structure using specialized software (FEA) & coordinate with Structural engineer to determine materials and specific project suitability. Communicate with vendors/partners regarding manufacturability and infallibility. Design and draft connection/integration methods with surrounding structures by proactively coordinating with adjacent trades. Create technical documents/specifications for different materials. Coordinate field operations/field measurements and manufacturing releases, final installation. Proactively coordinate schedule and budget based on drawings and details also responsible for drawing conformance with the architectural contract documents. Prepare "As Build" package for the customer to close the job.
Require Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or related.
Must have 12 months of experience as Product Design Engineer in Architectural Glass and Metal, or related.
Required 6 months of utilizing knowledge of CAD programs: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Revit.
