The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Technical Project Owner (focused on electrical/electronic systems integration). Level: Senior Analyst. The role will be located at our Research location in Cassinetta di Biandronno (Varese/Italy). Working condition: hybrid. In this role, you will be involved in the seamless integration of final manufactured products from Concept through Production Validation that delivers product leadership through balanced product solutions that delight consumers and satisfy the needs of the business and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include
Manage system integration of projects in Production Development Projects
Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets to support the project plans and project execution
Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails
Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages
Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool Product Development process, including the following:
Manage/Release of EBOMs(Electronics Bill of Materials) based on project charter and architecture definition
Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V (Verification & Validation) Plan
Document total expected variation to +/- 3 sigma distribution for each attribute
Document the revision of parts used in builds using baselines
Drive the measurement and documentation of the special characteristics on physical prototypes
Drive closure of dFMEA(design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance stacks
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years experience in Technical design, preferably in the Electrical/Electronics Engineering
1+ years experience in project management
Excellent English communication both verbal and written
Preferred skills and experiences
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Problem solving approach with OPEX(Operational Excellence)/6 sigma certification
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others
Appliance knowledge desired;
Technical coaching abilities
