Do you have a spark for working with electrical and mechanical components? We have an opening in our Pikeville location for an Electrician Technician III that might be made for you! In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting state of the art computerized and mechanical equipment! You will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel. This position pays $31.80 per hour. You will work day shift for the first 6 months, then must be open to a possible night shift.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Safely Execute – Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, and quality procedures to drive forward production.
Be a Technology Expert – Work on coding programs, perform on-line testing, debug programs and applications.
Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying your PLC knowledge – You will be troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting on-the-spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers, electrical diagrams and coding.
Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions – Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis. Investigating and repairing electrical & mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives and hydraulics, and conveyors.
Prioritizing Innovation and Communication – Actively seeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings while maintaining an open dialogue with supervisor regarding day-to-day activities.
Your Recipe for Success
High School Diploma/GED plus two years of maintenance experience OR 2-year technical degree
Ability to pass evaluation test and practical hands on evaluation
Coordinate work with others to develop, test, install, and modify programs
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
Great attitude working under stressful and high-pressure scenarios
