Kforce has a client that is seeking a Property Accountant in Washington, DC.Responsibilities:
Property Accountant will assist in month-end close process, to include preparation of general ledger journal entries, month end accruals, and various schedules and analyses to ensure accuracy of general ledger information for assigned residential and/or commercial properties
Review monthly expense accruals/reclasses submitted by property management; This includes reviewing for completeness of supporting documentation, validity of accruals/reclasses, and proper classification of expense items
Use excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills to compile additional reporting throughout the year (reforecasts, budgets, bank reconciliations, income & expense reports, tax & audit workpapers, replacement reserve requests, etc.)
As a Property Accountant, you will work with Property Managers to increase their familiarity with financial statements and to improve process efficiencies
Prepare ad hoc analysis and participate in various projects as assigned
BA/BS degree in Accounting required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and well organized
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
