Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2024) Requisition ID: 34235 Job Location(s): Minneapolis, MN, US Job Description Danfoss in Minneapolis, MN is searching for an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2024 term. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Applies advanced engineering skills regarding electrical design, analysis and problem solving. Perform schematic design using engineering principles and advanced math concepts. Create PCB layouts with a complete understanding of the impact of traces, vias, planes layers and component placement. Conduct product functional testing. Perform qualification testing of the finished product - including EMC, ESD, electrical transient and HALT testing. Understand test plans and document test results using basic word processing and spreadsheet software. Troubleshoots returned devices as well as products that fail qualification tests. Create engineering documentation. Conduct product analysis and bench testing. Respond with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers. Promote a quality and continuous improvement philosophy. Evaluate situations objectively and demonstrate the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance. Demonstrate a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area. Follow safety regulations and actively contribute to work safety. Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, junior status or higher preferred Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the Minneapolis/Plymouth work site Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Knowledge of the following equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies.
