Description:

　　The Engineer may be responsible for all phases of the software development cycle as assigned.

　　These include requirements generation, system design, detailed design, code development and implementation, testing, post-release maintenance, and software support to other functional groups and customers as needed.

　　Specific Responsibilities: Firmware and/or Software design as required by the New Product Development Team Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems for products

　　Writing code to interface with the various peripherals for embedded systems

　　Working with embedded microcontrollers and single boards computers Interpret datasheets for microcontrollers to create and maintain embedded firmware

　　Perform software QA and optimize I/O performance as well as providing post-production support when necessary Interface with hardware design and development team to develop products

　　Software design, debugging, testing and documentation

　　Creation of instrument software, including firmware and PC-based support tools

　　Technical support and sustaining engineering for manufacturing operations

　　Creation of product software, including embedded firmware and PC-based support tools

　　Maintain project software documentation including software requirements, test documents, and version control documentation

　　Other design-related tasks as required by the Director of Engineering

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Working with C++ or Python

　　Experience with Altium is a huge plus

　　Ability to either program on the hardware side using Python OR have experience with electrical test equipment
