Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler II
Reports To: Site Supply Manager
Location: Fair Lawn, NJ
Day/Shift: Mon – Fri 8am - 5pm
Position Summary:
This position develops, issues, coordinates and communicates the weekly manufacturing schedule for Biotech at the Fair Lawn site, while also ensuring the daily schedule adherence is in line with customer ship dates.
Job Responsibilities:
Directs the manufacturing efforts of the organization by developing weekly/daily production schedules, considering pre-established line rates, established committed lead times, and cost-effectiveness of schedules.
Proactively works with the purchasing department to identify shortages and schedule accordingly to reduce the number of shortages that impact operations. Participates in the lean manufacturing initiative to implement a lean process flow.
Find opportunities to improve process flow across the Fair Lawn site to increase production, reduce costs, and enable the Operating teams to meet schedule adherence targets.
Proactively works with customer service and the LAR Product Management team to expedite customer requests as required and communicate any delays that will affect customer requirements.
Handle replenishment levels for applicable safety stocking programs. Finished goods programs could include, but are not limited to, safety stock levels, consignment, and replenishment programs.
Control all documentation relative to the operations planning function. Such documentation includes but is not limited to, backlog reports, lead-time analysis, shop floor orders (including rework orders), delivery performance, daily production status, pull from stock sheet, lead-time maintenance, shortage reports, and close production order reports.
Will be tasked to establish in process and out process metrics to drive on time delivery to the customer.
Participates in PPI events as a Value Stream subject matter authority in regards to materials management and flow
Use supply chain analytics to drive process of efficiencies and effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree w/ 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, r equivalent combination of education & experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced with a MRP system such as BaaN, SAP, Oracle, AS400, etc.Incredible Benefits!
