Electrical Builder General Summary: Must know ElectricalSafety along with LOTO Try Out. Capable of full machine buildselectrically and pneumatically. Have the ability to follow detailedinstructions, properly utilize and maintain all tools required forassembly with expertise, select appropriate cables and connections foreach application. Expected to work with the highest level of quality,keeping efficiency in mind to budgeted hours of the build, field wireand pneumatic plumbing of field devices following Electrical BuildStandards. Continuous self-improvement towards developing skills andexperience. Engaged in meetings with clear, positive, respectfulcommunication and listens to understand. Travels 20% for service andinstallation support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Observesall safety rules, company policies, applicable regulations, and qualitystandards. Maintains a review rating at or above the bar with R+D CoreValues, Accountabilities, and Rocks. Reports unsafe conditions andneeded repairs to the department manager. Reads and interprets complexpanel blueprints, panel layouts, electrical and pneumatic schematics,and commercial component device specification to complete wiring andpneumatic plumbing. Completes electrical builds using appropriate wiresize, hardware, soldering, and tools; following Electrical BuildStandards. Works closely with Control Engineers to achieve systemintegration of components, assisting in troubleshooting PLC, robot,network, vision, and HMI communications. Performs detailedpre-commission on systems upon build completion, setting IP addresses,updating firmware, program downloading, I/O checks, documenting sensorssettings, etc. Responsible for change control documentation includingmarking electrical and pneumatic schematic packages with as builtupdates and changes. Stays current in new developments within industriesserved and keeps informed of new applications/methods to improvesystems/products. Performs equipment maintenance as required. May buildprototypes from sketches or verbal plans. All other duties assigned byManager. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High schooldiploma or equivalent required. Technical degree or additional collegecoursework related to design and electrical principles preferred. 3 to 5years of highly skilled experience in electrical build and systemintegration/function strongly preferred. Knowledge of automated systemsutilizing VFD\'s, servo motion, control voltage, load voltage, pneumaticactuators and standard digital inputs required. Proven aptitude withcomputers for all MS Office applications. Demonstrated ability to workindependently with a high degree of attention to detail. Provenexperience working effectively in a team environment. Requiresmathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiplyand divide, and to make metric system conversions. Must have the abilityto read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics,specification manuals, assembly plans, and other manufacturinginstructions.
