Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The Accountant will work closely with managers, finance professionals, and other stakeholders to maintain financial records, analyze financial data, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple locations.
Process and record financial transactions, including rent payments, property expenses, and vendor invoices.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for individual properties and the overall company.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide insights into financial performance.
Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and other financial accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Work closely with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
Collaborate with managers, leasing teams, and other departments to gather financial information and support decision-making.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an accountant in the real estate or property management industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
