Role description:
Arcadis U.S. Environmental team in the New York City metropolitan area is seeking a candidate for an entry level scientist/ecologist position. The candidate must be a team-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and capable of performing multiple activities related to ecological risk assessment, environmental compliance, and natural resources. The candidate will work closely with a team of scientists, engineers, and planners, supporting a wide range of clients throughout the region.

Role accountabilities:

Ecological field assessments and data collection Data analyses (i.e., statistical, GIS) Construction oversight Additional requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently to solve problems and execute tasks Candidate must also be comfortable working with other team members in both the field and remote locations Some travel required The ideal candidate for this position should be proficient in utilizing MS Office software, showcasing advanced skills in applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role involves working in remote field locations, and the candidate should demonstrate a high level of comfort and adaptability to such environments. Strong capabilities in data management and analyses are crucial for this role, indicating the ability to handle and interpret complex datasets effectively. Proficiency with ArcGIS is also a key requirement. Overall, the candidate should bring a well-rounded skill set encompassing office software proficiency, fieldwork comfort, and expertise in data analysis and ArcGIS utilization.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65, 000-$97, 500.
