Summary You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will serve as senior Project Manager for significant multi-discipline projects, with complete responsibility for all technical aspects of the projects. You will act as a Command representative on technological and standards-making panels. You will review design/manufacturing submittals developed by crane design and manufacturing firms for conformance to criteria and good engineering practice. You will manage configuration of regional cranes to ensure compliance with NAVCRANECENINST 11450.2, NAVFAC P-307, and NAVSEA Crane Quality Manual You will develop detailed technical specifications to be used in the procurement of all types of WHE. You will review and approve mechanical, electrical and structural designs and calculations. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
