  \$21-\$26.25/ Hour, Generous benefits including: paid time off,medical/dental, paid training. \$3,000 sign on bonus. Full time (2 hours/ day of paid prep time).

  Rutland County Head Start is hiring co-teachers for their new Early HeadStart (infant/toddler) program located in Rutland City. As an Early HeadStart Toddler Teacher, you will serve as co-teacher in anoutcomes-oriented, team environment, and provide safe, healthy,friendly, and developmentally appropriate environments and experiencesfor infants and toddlers. You will receive support, training, andexceptional professional development.

  As an Early Head Start co-teacher you will play an important role inimproving childrens\' future including school success, living standards,and life success. Minimum Qualifications: AssociatesDegree in Early Childhood Education, AA degree in a related field with18 credits in Early Childhood Education, or a current Infant/ToddlerChild Development Associate Credential (CDA).

  Additional Requirements:

  - Follow philosophy, policies and procedures of RCHS; and requirementsof the Head Start

  -Performance Standards, VT Child Care Center Licensing, follow HeadStart Early Learning

  - Outcomes Framework and relationship-based practices.

  - Demonstrate professional responsibility and ethical behavior,including ability to foster respectful, collaborative relationships;problem solve; handle crises; function independently yet utilizesupervision to conduct research-based practices; and maintainconfidentiality and at all times.

  - Demonstrate positivity, flexibility, time management skills,punctuality and dependable attendance.

  - Accept, respect and value diverse family practices, languages,cultures and traditions.

  - Build positive and strengths-based partnerships with families.

  - Provide families with meaningful opportunities to engage inchildren\'s learning both in the classroom and at home that build uponfamilies\' strengths, skills, talents, interests and availability.

  - Utilize knowledge of child development to provide a developmentallyappropriate, inclusive learning environment; and responsive, supportiveand engaging interactions and experiences.

  Implement research-based curriculum via meaningful, intentional learningexperiences across several domains through differentiated instruction.

  - Utilize knowledge of children\'s interests, learning styles andstages of development to create meaningful play and maximize learningopportunities.

  - Implement research-based assessment practices that guide instructionand monitor children\'s growth and development.

  - Conduct home visits and family conferences as required.

  - Participate in ongoing professional development and in-servicetrainings during and after hours, including college-level courses asrequired.

  - Must have a valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation withpersonal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levelsmandated by the State of Vermont.

  - *Successful completion of a criminal history background check afterhire.
